Latest Technology Inventions Spotted This Summer (2017)

Put on your sunglasses, grab a cold drink, and have fun with the cool tech gadgets featured on this list of the latest technology inventions for this summer. The gadgets we’ve selected have been available for just a short while, but they’ve already become hits, capturing the attention of people of all generations.

PowerRay Underwater Robot

Thanks to the drone revolution, seeing the world from far above has never been easier. But what about the underwater world with its rich fauna and flora? With PowerVision’s latest underwater drone, it’s finally possible to dive up to 100 feet (30 meters) underwater and see the captivating world hidden to anyone but those few with expensive diving equipment.

The PowerRay, as the drone is called, has an integrated 4K camera, which can broadcast video signal in real-time over distances up to 262 feet (80 meters) via Wi-Fi, allowing users to view what the drone sees in real time on any iOS or Android device. The drone can be optionally fitted with the PowerRay Fishfinder, an add-on component that leverages sonar system to detect fish.

Trekz Titanium Wireless Stereo Headphones

Fun summer activities should be accompanied by fun music. It’s, however, not always appropriate to blast it out loud for everyone to hear, which is where headphones come in. The problem with headphones is that they block outside sounds. When jogging, riding a bike, or, for example, hiking, you want to hear incoming traffic and other people around you.

The Trekz Titanium wireless stereo headphones use the bone conduction technology to transmit music directly to the inner ear by sending vibrations through the cheekbones. While the bone conduction technology isn’t one of the latest technology inventions around, the way it’s been implemented in the Trekz Titanium headphones elevates it to the next level. The headphones are sweat and dust resistant, they feature Bluetooth 4.1 for strong signal reception, and their sound quality is remarkable.

Beeline GPS Navigation

Many latest technology inventions we’ve seen this summer haven’t exactly invented the wheel—they’ve simply put a different spin on it. Among these is the Beeline GPS navigation, which takes the essential concept behind modern navigation systems and strips it back to bare bones. What’s left is a round device with a circular display that you can install on the handlebars of your bicycle or put it in your pocket. On the display is an arrow to the selected destination, the distance to go, and nothing else.

Why would you want to give up useful features and use something as minimalistic as the Beeline GPS navigation? Because not having a detailed map of the surrounding area encourages exploration and makes you more aware of the world around you. It may take you a few more minutes to reach your destination, but the chances of you stumbling upon a beautiful alleyway or discovering a cozy coffee shop increase dramatically.
