  1. Open the Alexa app. If you don’t have the app for whatever reason, head over to the app store on your phone to download it. It’s free, and connecting it is extremely simple. However, if you have an Alexa, you most likely have it downloaded.
  2. Search for a house-shaped icon on the bottom right of your screen; this is the devices icon. Click on it and proceed to the next step.
  3. At this point, take a look and choose your device. If you only have one device, your one Alexa should be the only one that pops up. However, if you have multiple Alexa devices, make sure you pick the right one.
  4. Scroll down to language/dialect and click on it. This is the primary area where you can control Alexa’s voice.
  5. At this point, scroll through the various options and find one you like. Once you find one that interests you, click OK.
  6. Once you hit OK, the device should take a minute to switch to its new voice. It shouldn’t take too long, but if it does, for whatever reason, try it again.
  7. Congrats! You successfully changed Alexa’s voice. Double-check everything changed okay, and if it didn’t, restart this process. It’s possible it didn’t save for whatever reason, but for the most, it should work okay at this point.

Yes, similar to changing Alexa’s voice, you can change Alexa’s accent. Doing this is identical to changing Alexa’s voice and doesn’t require any additional steps for the most part. Nonetheless, let’s take a look at you can change Alexa’s accent.

  1. Same as the step above.

  1. Tell Alexa to speak slower or faster depending on your preference by saying, “Alexa, speak slower” or “Alexa, speak faster.”
  2. Once Alexa starts speaking slower or faster, it should be adjusted to your preference. Double-check by asking Alexa a question and having it customized to your liking.
  3. If you don’t like the changing of Alexa’s voice speed, you can easily set it back to default. To do this, say, “Alexa, speak at your default rate.”

How to change Alexa’s voice to Jarvis?

Since Iron man first came out, many people are in love with Tony Stark’s AI assistant Jarvis. There are plenty of Alexa skills you can download, including ones that allow you to talk with your favorite characters, e.g., Pikachu.
