Even if you do not have an HDMI port, you can connect a composite video cable to Roku on an old TV. By following the next few steps, you can get Roku for older TV:
For watching Roku on an old TV, you need the Roku streaming device and remote, an HDMI cable, two batteries, the user guide, and an AC charger.
Turn your television on.
Put the batteries in the remote.
Plug the HDMI cable and connect it with your Roku device. If you have a Roku streaming stick, you do not need the HDMI cable at all, and all you have to do is connect the Roku stick into the port.
Turn Roku on by connecting it to the AC charger. In the case of a Roku stick, you can skip this step.
Once connected properly, you will see the Roku welcome screen and have successfully connected Roku on a non-smart TV.
How to connect Roku to non-smart TV?
If your non-smart TV does not have an HDMI port or a USB port, it is still possible for Roku to connect to TV.
